The iPhone Duo shines with apps that actually use the extra room. A calendar you can read a whole month on. A recipe with more room for the instructions. A map right next to the places you want to try.
These are our picks for the best apps for iPhone Duo right now, each with Duo support in the US App Store. It's an editorial shortlist, not a download chart. You can also look for the Made for iPhone Duo badge on optimized apps, or browse Apple's iPhone Duo collection.
Fantastical
Unfold the Duo and Fantastical opens up into an iPad-style calendar. Hide the sidebar and the week and month views stretch across the whole screen, so a packed week reads at a glance. Flexibits has the details in its iPhone Duo update post.
Best for: anyone running work, family and weekend plans out of one calendar.

Stasht
You save great stuff from TikTok, Instagram and the web. The dumpling spot. The pizza place from that reel. Stasht pulls out the useful details, and places it finds in your saves can show up on a map. On the Duo's wider screen, a restaurant list can sit right beside the map. That helps when you're planning a trip or picking tonight's dinner.
Want the whole routine? Here's how to save TikTok restaurants to a map.
Best for: trip planners and anyone holding onto restaurant posts for later.

Flighty
Flighty's Duo update is made for tent mode. Stand the phone up on your tray table and your flight's progress map stays on screen, no hands needed.
Best for: window-seat people who check the flight map every twenty minutes.
NYT Cooking
Prop the Duo on the counter and NYT Cooking keeps the recipe details and visuals in view, with steps, timers and instructional video close at hand. Apple covers it in its iPhone Duo announcement. Full recipe access requires a subscription that includes NYT Cooking.
Best for: home cooks who want more of the recipe in view while they cook.

Edits
Edits shows your video, the timeline and the editing tools on the Duo's screen together, as Apple shows in the same announcement. You can watch the cut while you trim it.
Best for: anyone editing Reels or TikToks straight from their phone.
