The official pick-your-own page names an August 29, 2026 opening and a general ripening calendar. That calendar tells you roughly when a variety comes in, not what is on the trees the day you go.
Booking is online only, and the picking entrance is across from the market, so the farm market's general hours are not the picking hours. Entry includes a hayride and the playground. There is no outside food, drink or picnicking at the orchard, and no sampling while you pick. Walking surfaces are uneven; ask the farm about orchard access if your group needs a stroller or wheelchair. Use the live reservation calendar for picking dates and arrival times.
Pricing lives on the official ticket form. One admission plus one bag showed a $31.25 subtotal including booking fees. Four admissions age 2 and up plus a single bag add up to $60.35 from the listed prices; check the final checkout total before paying. Every booking needs at least one bag, and parties of eight or more need one bag per four admissions.
Warwick Valley Winery, 114 Little York Road, Warwick NY
The 2026 pick-your-own page runs the season September 5 to November 1 and lists varieties by weekend. Weather and harvest change that list, and frost limits some varieties, so check the page before driving out for one particular apple.
Per the FAQ, only customers with an apple bag go into the orchard, and bags are bought at the tasting room or apple stand. Each bag includes a weekend tractor ride for up to four people. No outside food or drink. Children are welcome, but there is no playground or petting zoo, and seating at the venue is not reservable. If someone is dropping you off, arrange the ride back beforehand.
The two official pages disagree on closing time: the pick-your-own page says 11 a.m.–6 p.m., and the FAQ says the orchard is 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Confirm the last picking time with the winery before you plan the end of the day around it.
Comparing the listed costs
At Demarest, four admissions age 2 and up and one bag come to $60.35 from the listed prices, for 10–12 lb of apples inside the booked slot. At Warwick, one car and one half bushel come to $50 in stated components — $10 car admission in September or October, $40 for the apples — for roughly double the fruit weight. Neither figure is a verified final checkout total, and neither includes anything extra bought at the market or tasting room.
