Happy Day Farm in Manalapan sells festival admission, then charges for pumpkins by the pound. Terhune Orchards in Princeton has a lower advance base price plus an optional package that adds one small pumpkin. A 2-year-old needs a full-price ticket at Happy Day and gets in free at Terhune.

Happy Day Farm: festival activities and pumpkins by weight
The festival ticket covers the maze, tractor ride, animal zoo and pedal carts; pony rides and the bounce pillow cost extra. Pumpkins are a separate purchase, and the fields are cash only.
October Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays offer a smaller activity selection for $23 cash at the door: pumpkin picking access, corn maze, tractor rides, flowers and Pumpkinville. October 12 is the exception, with festival pricing and online tickets. The ticket calendar also lists October Fridays; check the selected date's price before booking.
Rain does not normally close the farm, though extreme weather can. Tickets are nonrefundable; date-change requests must be made before the visit and depend on availability. Happy Day describes its terrain as uneven and says the farm is not wheelchair accessible. Check Happy Day's current visitor details.
Terhune Orchards: admission with an optional small pumpkin
Terhune's Pick a Pumpkin Package includes general admission and one pumpkin weighing 5 pounds or less. The listed ticket-plus-fee difference from general admission is $5.73. Check the package size before promising a giant jack-o'-lantern.
General admission includes the corn and hay mazes, barnyard and wagon rides, but pony rides, pumpkins and food are extra. Parking is free. There is no pick-your-own apple picking at Terhune in 2026 following an April freeze; apples sold in the store do not mean the orchard is open for picking. Read Terhune's festival details.
The ticket terms say no refunds or date/time changes; if the event is canceled for a rain-out, the farm provides a future-use coupon. Outside food is not allowed. Review the current packages and terms for your date.
